Dear Friends of Lifespire,

This year marks Lifespire’s 60th anniversary. Six decades of advocacy on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities. And yes…six decades of providing quality services. As you know, the Golf Classic is Lifespire’s Premier Annual Event so we are particularly pleased to honor Melissa Rabinovich, Executive Editor of New York 1 News as well as the parent of a child with special needs. Melissa is a special individual who leaves an indelible mark on everyone who knows her. What better venue than to once again, hold the Golf Classic at the prestigious Garden City Country Club.

If there is any truer measure of a man than by what he does, it must be by what he gives.

Robert South said those words almost 400 years ago. Yet today, they are truer than ever. How ironic that our 60^th year will be the most financially challenging. Barely a day goes by without news of all levels of government wielding the budget axe. Lifespire is not immune. Quite frankly, in the next few weeks we expect to receive notification of what will amount to cuts in the millions of dollars. This is why your support is more important than ever.

Please help by joining us on August 1^st as we honor a remarkable individual and raise much needed funds.
