With a rival football game - comes a rival Match-Play golf event!  ASU and UA Alumni will battle for bragging rights on December 5, 2008 in the 1st Annual Alumni Golf Challenge - hosted at La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona.

The event is limited to 30 (two-man) Teams per University.  Alumni teams of two (2) are encouraged to Register ASAP to secure their position in the event.  Teams will be paired against each other according to their average team handicap. 

Format: 2 Man Scramble: Match-Play.

Upon arrival, each player will receive a commemorative Wind Jacket valued at $125.  Box lunches will be available prior to play - followed by dinner after play.  Multiple individual on-course contests will also be present during play.

There is a minimum $10,000 alumni association purse - $7,000 to the winning alumni association and $3,000 as the consolation prize for the second place alumni association.  All sponsorship proceeds associated with the Alumni Golf Challenge will benefit each respective Alumni Association.  Sponsoring party's Alumni will dictate which Association the funds are transferred to.
